A cramped and basic room above a pub at the edge of Birmingham city centre. It served its purpose as somewhere safe and dry to spend the night but it was very overpriced at £80 for just the one night. The bathroom is so cramped that a tall person might have considerable problems sitting down on the toilet given how close it is to the sink. The door between the stairs & the top floor corridor is a heavy fire door that makes an almighty bang when left to close on its own - not pleasant for whomever is in a room close to that door! A sign should be added to ask guests to close the door gently to avoid disturbing other guests. The main highlight of the hotel (aside from location) is the awesome shower which is really powerful.

Great hotel stay
Was a really lovely stay. The room was large and had everything we needed. Very comfy beds. Did get a little bit too hot but we just opened our windows. Was nice that there was a separate entrance without having to go through the pub and a key box to check out. Great location in my opinion, very close walk to everything. Would definitely stay again as was such good value for money. Was nice to have little amenities as well.

Avoid if you want peace
The hotel had an awful smell about it. The shower is impossible to use unless you just want to stand there and not wash. It’s tiny. The seals weee coming off of the shower as were the doors. In my room the tap was extremely wobbly. There was dust on everything, even the bin! The hotel is still a work in progress so there’s workmen drilling etc so don’t stay here if you’re looking for peace.
