Well appointed room with view of the Acropolis. Nice location within walking distance of shops, great restaurants and the Acropolis. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

8/10 Very good

While there is no “lobby”, the hotel staff is most helpful and the rooms are well-appointed, very clean and the view is exactly as advertised. Breakfast across the way is good, and the neighborhood puts you in the middle of streets full of restaurants, shops, etc. Excellent location and wonderful place to stay.

Excellent staff/owner and location/view. We stayed for 4 days and was close to all attractions, restaurants, shopping, metro etc. The owner was super helpful with our AM departure ride and was there to ensure we had a ride as reserved. The facility was clean and well maintained. The tv, netflix, youtube got us relaxed. Overall I rate this place highly!

Great location for access to tourist sites and restaurants; super helpful staff; lovely room

8/10 Very good

Definitely a problem with the noise from the bar/restaurant next door on a Saturday night. The remaining 3 nights were fine. The hotel entry and elevator is cramped and awkward, but the rooms are clean and sufficiently spacious and equipped. The bed was super comfortable and we had a great view of the Acropolis from our balcony.

the location, the staff, the room & balcony, the cleanliness were all 10/10. our first time in greece and couldn’t have picked a better place! room was big and the balcony was overlooking the city which was fine. A/C kept room cold on these hot summer days & it was always cleaned, stocked with towels and the staff were incredibly sweet to us and our baby. i wish our flight wasn’t so early in the morning if there was a way to tip now! definitely recommending this place to everyone i know!

An clean, attractive, efficient room with a view of the Acropolis from the balcony. It is located five minutes walk from Monastiraki Square which provides access to the train system. The neighborhood is very active with restaurants, shops, street vendors, etc. Uber pickup is half a block away. An excellent place to stay.

Book a patio room with a view of the Acropolis - it does not disappoint. The location was perfect; it was easy to walk to different neighborhoods. The room included a mini-fridge, a comfortable bed, and a strong shower. They also partner with the coffee shop across the alley if you pay to include breakfast. I highly recommend Altar Suites!

8/10 Very good

Room was very clean, staff very helpful, our room had a small balcony which we didn’t use as it was too hot during our time in Athens. One thing that we didn’t like was the fact that there was no door to separate the shower. We were traveling with young adult children and had to warn each other not to use the bathroom until one was done. Location was great, across from it was a restaurant with very good coffee and food and a 20 min walk to Acropolis.

10/10 Exceptional

An exquisite location, perfectly adjacent to the park and with a better view of Acropolis than the south side. Was within walking distance of all of our attractions, the room was impeccable. The entry way was well marked, well lit and felt safe. The hotel felt well secured and safe. There was indeed some slight noise from the lively streets/bar downstairs as well as church bells/church service held nearby, but was very tolerable and would have been the same if we stayed anywhere else in the local.
