Very disappointing for a hotel with such potential
This hotel has great potential but needs a thorough upgrade. We were placed on the 3rd floor (top) where the condition of the room was v poor with a definite odour of smoke and exceedingly noisy. However, it was clean. The stair and room carpets were wearing thin, peeling wallpaper, walls with screw holes, ceiling needed a full repaint following temporary repairs. Door difficult to open/close with poor lighting just where it was needed, and didn't feel secure. Pool itself was lovely (we had a swim) but all around the gym/pool area were health & safety issues. The hotel had a general feeling of disrepair and not up to standard for the price of the room. Plenty of choice for breakfast but no full cooked. Member of staff on duty then was very pleasant and attentive as were the cleaning staff.
