My husband and I had a two night stay in the Clayton Hotel Galway at the beginning of the month. A very pleasant welcome was experienced in this hotel, especially from Ashling at the Reception Desk. She could not have been more helpful. We did have a few problems with our room and breakfast but we feel we must comment on the professional and generous manner in which the General Manager dealt with our complaint. He was extremely prompt in contacting us, took all our comments on board and has been very helpful and generous, courteous and efficient in all his dealings with us. He is a man of his word and that is a rare commodity in the business world of today. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The beds in this hotel are so comfortable. There is a safe in the room, and iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making available. We had a problem with the heating system in the room when we arrived. I rang Reception and it was corrected immediately. The location of the hotel is a little distance outside the City but the very regular bus service is super. The bus stop is right outside the front door of the hotel and the bus takes you into Eyre Square. Parking at the hotel is very convenient and plenty of spaces are available. We want to take this opportunity to wish Mr. Fitzpatrick and his staff well for the future.

Room was nice, bed comfortable. Reception staff and bar/restaurant staff friendly and helpful. No toilet roll on arrival and room staff member we spoke to said it there was nothing she could do as it was not her room. Called reception and sorted quickly. Bottles left in corridor for a couple of days. Food was nice. Overall alright and pleasant stay.

Great hotel with good facilities. Housekeeping was a little slap dash but overall it was a clean, comfortable and well ventilated. Reception staff helpful. Bar was a good place to eat and drink. A fair distance from the city centre and cab journeys were varied in price too and from.
