NU Hotel Brooklyn
A great choice out Manhattan
We wanted to try Brooklyn to Mudd the chore of getting from JFK to (and more importantly from) Manhattans. We were richly rewarded. The subway was easy, took half the time and cost $7.75 each way. No rush hour traffic to get stuck in for the homeward journey meant much less cost and stress. Anything more would have been jam, and NU Hotel Brooklyn was just right. A very comfy queen bed, great pillows (we normally have trouble sleeping). The bathroom was well designed with a huge mirror and lots of space for 2 peoples toiletries. The staff were very efficient and helped seamlessly when required. Just an Apple MacBook front of house did the job very well with well trained staff. Breakfast was very good for the room available. It was the usual basic carbs and ham/cheese/boiled eggs. There was also a lovely chopped watermelon & blueberry cocktail that was delicious with a Greek yoghurt. unlike many Manhattan hotels, everything was replaced quickly not leaving some guests missing out. We borrowed the bikes for a day in Brooklyn and had a lovely day. The hotel is opposite the main police department so very very safe. The walk to the subway as safe as any in Manhattan. Down along Queen astreet we found lots of unique shops and bars, coffee house. We will return.

NU Hotel in December
NU Hotel Brooklyn was perfect for our pre-Christmas break to NYC. Staff are very efficient and welcoming and inclusive breakfast excellent, with good choice. Transport links are very good with Metro stations nearby, or walk down to East River Pier 6 and catch a ferry to DUMBO or across to Wall St, or from DUMBO up to Midtown East.

Very Good8.0
Good location for our needs. We requested fixing broken lights on day one. We stayed 3 nights and the bed light we really needed was never fixed. We wrote this on the trendy blackboard wall to no avail.

Just Fine
It was fine, just okay. Very clean and quiet too, but it generally felt a little cold and utilitarian. Wasn’t in love with the less than approachable check in staff when I arrived. Felt like I wasn’t exclusive enough for their club or something....
