Not too bad.
Basic accommodation and in need of some upgrading. However, the location was ideally situated for our needs and requirements. Staff were friendly and available throughout our two night stay. Our price included breakfast which was very good. The hotel has a bar and the prices were reasonable and a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

Come 2 Barry's 4 comfort, charm & a trip to 18thC.
Barry's Hotel, a bit of a local historical landmark in Dublin's north inner city, is the kind of guest house that they just don't build anymore. Full of eccentricity & an idiosyncratic charm that one associates with the late eighteenth century, there is even a close association with Barry's and the Irish Republican struggle for independence from the British Empire; but if you wish to find out the full gambit of this revolutionary relationship, you will simply have to book a room for yourself. No spoiler alerts here Sir/ Madam!

Clean, great location, but could do with an update
Very nice location, very convenient for public transport and for getting to pickup points for day tours. The room was clean, but cold and doesn't seem to have been redecorated recently. We were awoken on a couple of nights by a banging that we think was the plumbing, but we didn't complain about it. The hotel is perfectly fine if you're just using it as a place to sleep, but I would hesitate the recommend it if you're going to spend any more time there.

No chance
Was absolutely not a pleasure. Only nedeed. 3 floor without lift. No fresh air. Bathroom to small. But clean. But very cold. Tv no working correctly. No wifi after 30 secondes. So expensive. No service. No cofee.

Overall, pleasant stay at the Barry Hotel
Our stay at the Barry Hotel was not bad. The place seemed to be an old hotel fitted with some modern conveniences, but not all of them. There is no elevator, no air conditioning, no TV and no telephone, but there is wifi. We went down to the front desk for towels amd they were brought to us within 5-10 minutes of the request. There is a bar that opens after 12pm and they have a kitchen which serves either a continental or Irish breakfast. It's location is close to the tourist areas and there are plenty of ethnic cuisines to choose from, all within walking distance. There are bus stops nearby, as well. Overall, pleasant stay at the Barry Hotel!
