Was an amazing stay and an incredible hotel, until we paid and checked out. Then the next day we noticed they double charged us for the entire stay, using a credit card that was only supposed to be held on file that we gave no approval to charge. We went back and forward with the hotel 40 emails and multiple phone calls they took NO responsibility for this even though thousands of dollars was missing on our bank statements, showing it was from this hotel! absolutely appalling!!!!!

We spent 5 nights but we were disappointed especially for our first night. We had connected rooms 3321/3323 with mold smell and humidity. Water leaking from ceiling, floor wet, carpets stained, flashlight completely rusty from humidity, bathroom scale has no battery… It was unbelievable that Intercontinental management accepts to rent this to their guests. Wondering if no one ever inspected these rooms. Our experience with Intercontinental was always irreproachable in many places like Bangkok, Istanbul, Dubai… We complained to the reception and we were moved to a decent rooms with the standards we expected. We really enjoyed being there and appreciated the kindness of the staff which was our best experience in the hotel. The Hotel has a colonial style with beautiful outdoor area in front of the beach with great scenery. Breakfast was very good. We liked to come at night to the beach club to watch the sunset, have drink and food. Only issue during 3 days we couldn’t have our favorite avocado salad because they don’t have avocado anymore… again I consider this is a deficiency and asked if we can order delivery ourselves from the grocery to have this salad. Finally they arranged for it the fourth day only. Overall we had a good time in the hotel despite these deficiencies. I hope this can be useful to the management.
