The Soluna Hotel
Friendly but..........
Reception very friendly, room and Wifi ok. Location and breakfast no good. My major objection: upon check in I was asked to give a phone number, in case that..... I did forget a jacket at checking out. 3 days later nobody had ever contacted me about it. Luckily I had to come back to town anyway and could collect it.

Better than a budget hotel, and better priced too
This hotel was obviously once a chain hotel. I say that to give an idea of the spacious bedroom and bathroom that is standard of budget hotels. It is, however, so much better than a budget hotel, being that it is clearly a freestanding business now. We loved our stay - the bedrooms were so clean and the sheets were soft with fluffy pillows. They had fancy soaps and some improvements/upgrades that you don't get with standard hotels at a price lower than great-name budgets! The area is right off the highway, but far enough that you don't hear the cars. The airport is probably 4-5 minutes away with plenty of big-name restaurants in the same vicinity. Now, last but definitely not least, the staff was so helpful and sweet. I felt like we were staying with close friends that know how to host and make you feel at home, even when we arrived the first day at 4 AM! I won't be staying anywhere else in El Paso except here.

The mattress/bed was so hard both my wife or I couldn’t rest. We were so stiff and sore the next morning. Made for a long day travel wise.

When will Sports fails try to be welcoming I understand they have to run tight ship and Heather rules and everything but some times it's a little too far I make guests seem like a instead of a guest a intruder. Not here they're a little more laid-back a little more relaxed and even though the maintenance was working in the room next door they were polite enough to be quiet it was a great experience compared to other.
