Very good 8.0
Average hotel
When checking in only one receptionist took ages to check in. I also had to park my car and the barrier wouldnt go up. The fire alarm went off twice, the first room they gave was without a good view. Overall wasnt the worest but also wasnt the greatest.

Good 6.0
A good sleep marred by poor restaurant service.
Interesting location right next to Battersea Heliport. The room was clean with the right facilities although the lighting made finding things in the black painted alcoves difficult. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest. Eating in the restaurant, on the other hand, was much more problematic. We had booked a window table but were shown to another: when we asked for a window table again there was one available. When choosing some wine, we asked if one was sweet or dry. The staff didn’t know so they opened a bottle, tasted it, and pronounced it to be sweet - we chose anther wine. (A google search later described the wine as dry!) When ordering the food, it was obvious that the waiting staff did not know the menu items so we had to order blindly. Then came a very long wait for the meal. After some customers had left without eating, we chased up our order and was told that it was the next to be cooked. Overall, the restaurant staff gave to impression that it was their first day which needed more than a smiling manager to sort out. We later learned that ALL the restaurant staff were new.

Exceptional 10.0
Lovely hotel, room was great and reception staff lovely. Felt the bar staff needed some further training in customer service.

Pleasantly average
Friendly staff, comfortable room and good breakfast. They get the essentials right. But a few qualms - a ridiculously hot elevator and room corridor make you very uncomfortable on the way to and from your room. We had a spa package which included a treatment from the ‘Verta’ Spa in the basement. Spa was reasonable, although treatments were not up to the same standard as a dedicated spa facility in the countryside. The full body massage was carried out with a basic and scentless massage oil, even though they advertise ESPA everything. The actual massage quality was good however. Would have liked the spa to be bigger with more space to relax etc. The pool, relaxation are and general spa facility are quite small, and in the basement floor under the hotel (car park level) so quite hot and claustrophobic. A couple will share a spa treatment room. Restaurant is quite basic although food was tasty and hit the spot. Restaurant overlooks the HELIPAD so you can normally see Helicopters taking off and landing right outside the window! Room TV cannot be used for plugging your laptop into or Amazon Fire TV stick - it’s locked out even in the Executive rooms which made it quite difficult to do any kind of work using the TV in the room. Bed and bathroom excellent. Well situated only a short UBER ride away to Chelsea, Hyde Park and Battersea park etc.
