Unfortunately when I arrived, I found out that the resort was closed due to COVID. I was surprised that they had not informed me before I left home as grey had my phone number!
We expected much more from the website photos and description. The room was basic and not properly cleaned, given the COVID situation I expected at least to be given a clean room. We had dinner from a choice of 5 meals, food was good, we were the only ones in the dining room, breakfast which was supposed to be included did not exist.
Good location. Quiet. Good complimentary hot breakfast. Property needs major maintenance and upkeep in yard. Horse trail riding conveniently located on site and leader friendly.
No record of reservation when we arrived. Overpriced for quality of chalet. Very dated. Restaurant was overpriced and under staffed. They had to call the chef in to cook for us. We asked about continental breakfast included, was told yes, then the next morning wad told breakfast was for 2 people and extra was $10 per person and $5 for.kids. We opted to drive into town because it was cheaper for our group.
It was in quite sad shape. The property itself with the mountain and tree backdrop is beautiful but there were excavators and weeds and horse droppings around the unit we stayed in. The room and hallways had recently been painted but there was a ball of hair on the floor in our room as well as cobwebs and dead moths around the window sills and the heater/air conditioner unit was truly filthy (Not turned on by us). The place needs lots of tlc.
This property could be amazing but when we checked in there were a number of problems: broken chair, dirty floors, burnt out lights, dirty dishes, very disappointed.
Good sized-rooms a little on the older side. However the bed was incredibly comfortable. Nice views from the balcony. Great place for a short getaway.
Horribly run down holes in floors railing falling apart food was horrible bed fell apart in the middle of the night !!
People who were working there was really helpful and did their best they can to accommodate our requests. There are a lot of unsatisfactory services I'm not going to adrress here. Though some of these are the ones we addressed to them. - room was dirty when we checked in - no turndown service - lack of amenity refreshments - A/C was barely working - shower/tub drainage was probably clogged (took 15 minutes for the water to completely drain) - less variety in breakfast menu We were told that they were short staffed and having a hard time due to COVID-19. We're very understanding and help ourselves to the things we need.
I liked the property and the pool is amazing. Due to covid breakfast was not buffet but you could order what you liked.
