Great stay!
Had the ensuite room and the bathroom was huge! The host Barry was very welcoming and cooked us breakfast the next morning - really nice eggs and pancakes, along w continental breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. No complaints at all.

individuality and home made breakfast
remote B&B run by a young couple, home made bread/scones/marmelade, individual characterful rooms and friendly atmosphere. Car needed for remote location. Next proper restaurant is 12 miles away though cafe is in the village and some in Dunvegan. Sightseeing: Neist Point, Dunvegan, Coral beach, Waternish tannery and oldest Inn in Skye. Would have posted a photo but it did not let me

We were supposed to stay longer at the Six Willows, but couldn't bare it and had to find another accommodation after just one night. First thing that stroke us when we entered the house was musty, elderly people smell. The Red Room we stayed in, was supposed to be the best one, with ensuite shower, but still it was very poor. The ensuite looked like refurbished last time in the 60s - pink wc and basin. The toilet moved with your moves, and I was sincerely worried it may break down. There was mould and dust in places. Even towels didn't look clean and again smelled. The house needs proper clean up and refurbishment - paint and plaster come off the ceiling and walls. We were tricked by good reviews of the place and I wish more people were more genuine with their reviews, cause then we'd definitely wouldn't have chosen this place! However the owners are nice, some people are just not born to run a hotel

The Blue Room was warm, clean, and homey.Alex,Ocean and their family far exceeded our expectations with their friendly warmth and good suggestions for things to do(However,if you’re not a local,do double the time you’re told it takes to travel around!A fifteen minute drive for someone more accustomed to the Isle’s narrow, curvy roads took half an hour for us).The dogs were initially kept in the kitchen out of our way,but as all three of us are fond of dogs,we were really happy when they were let out and we got to pet them-they're a lively, affectionate trio. But really, the highlight was the food service. Our room was regularly stocked with tasty biscuits, good teas(my friend was particularly taken with the lemon, ginger and honey blend)and a bottle of water fresh from a nearby spring. In the mornings,we had a nice leisurely breakfast, which typically consisted of juices, coffee, tea(with herbs gotten from their garden),a basket of breads, pancakes and scones, great peanut butter and preserves, biscuits with a plate of cheeses and grapes, lots of fruit, cereals and yogurts. And on our last night, when we got back early and were in the mood for a snack,we asked Ocean if there might be any leftovers from breakfast, she kindly brought us a batch of freshly warmed breads, egg salad and jams, and even offered to prepare for us some soup and other light snacks if we wanted. All in all,it was a lovely experience, and we would definitely recommend Six Willows to others.
