Our room was very clean, and the staff were excellent. The parking was allocated for us directly outside the main door which was great. The breakfast was extremely good with lots of choices on the menu. Freshly cooked to order and delicious. We hope to come back to this character cottage hotel.

We loved our stay at the Cottage! From the moment we walked it we felt at home. The check in was easy and they even served us coffee, tea and a snack while we were filling out the papers. The building is very old and original which we loved. Each room is assigned a parking space, so there was no worry about finding a spot if we left. The restaurant food was amazing! We felt very safe walking around, even after dark. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

10/10 Exceptional

On arrival we had our parking space reserved with my name on it which was excellent. We were greeted by the team who were so very friendly and welcoming. They prepared tea and cake whilst we ran through the arrival papers. Then we were taken to our room which was just what we had hoped for. It was very quiet with a balcony and four poster bed! The hotel was situated within a few minutes walk from the town and its pubs, restaurants and cafes it was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was great, a good choice and served with a smile and a chat! All told it was a lovely place to stay and all being well we will be back there before too long!!

8/10 Very good

Nice welcome and easy parking with named spot which was a nice touch and easy walk to the village and several pubs. Great breakfast, nice room and comfy bed. Side gate lock challenging to open and also hard to open the bathroom door to get in - was worried I might get locked in but actually easy to open from the inside. Maybe worth getting someone to look at both locks.

Excellent stay at Cottage Lodge

Had a great stay in a beautiful room. Was made so welcome with coffee and cake on arrival and my name of a parking space. Breakfast was excellent. I will definitely use the hotel next time I'm in the New Forest. My only complaint - I wasn't there long enough.
