Apex Waterloo Place Hotel
Fab hotel
Booked a family room which was lovely but lacked any sort of view and no phone signal, on my way out I asked if it was possible to change rooms it didn’t need to be a family room I was quite happy to just go into a twin room, anyway I was told it would be the next day that I could move as I was staying for three nights that was ok too. So the next day I was off to see a couple of the sites that I’d pre booked. I got back to the hotel at about two so I thought I would see if my new room was ready and not only was it ready they had also given me an upgrade and moved me to a suite on the ninth floor which was absolutely lovely, can’t praise this hotel up enough it is in a great location with fab staff. I thought it was that good I booked to go back in October when I was checking out from this stay big thanks to Blaze (think that was his name apologies if wrong) for all his help with changing my room.

Pleasant stay
Friendly staff and clean hotel. Not that cheap but it is in a good location for the station and tourist attractions. Breakfast very nice. Some parts of the hotel were chilly -bar area and room although there was an electric heater in the latter as the in-room heating did not work. Bathroom pleasant with very large bath

Lovely night away
This is our second stay in the Apex Waterloo. Enjoyed it so much the first time we came back! We didn't have dinner at the hotel on this stay but everything else was perfect. Standard room had a lovely big bed and bath (plus shower). We were close to the restaurant so worried about noise but it was absolutely perfect, couldn't hear a thing from our room. Also enjoyed making use of the pool and spa facilities in the morning before we left. Reception staff were all very friendly and happy to keep our bags for the day while we explored Edinburgh. Would definitely stay again.

Shame about spa staff
The bedroom was a little cold, but pleasent enough. The ensuite was very nice with amazing towels. We went out for breakfast as the cost was too high for what we would eat. The pool was really nice, my only let down was the staff at the beauty rooms, asked several times for information re the pool too much trouble for the member of staff, I would of usually had a loads of treatments whilst away but I decided because of the lack of manners I would save my money and my tip.
