Poor 2.0
Awful experience
Dinner: After checking in, I found my room to be welcoming, clean and tidy. I went downstairs for dinner, firstly ordering a burger (sorry, no burgers left), then a gammon steak (sorry, none left) and finally a chicken burger. I ordered a fresh orange and lemonade at the same time and received my bill, which wrongly included the additional cost of a gammon steak. I pointed this out to the server, who removed it from my bill and I awaited my drink. The server then left the bar to check in a guest and I had to stand for a few minutes before another member of staff asked me for a drinks order. I repeated my order, was served and went to my table. Taking a drink, I discovered I'd been served fresh orange and soda water. I went back to the bar and asked for a new drink, which I received. Oddly, it tasted of neither lemonade or fresh orange but I was too hungry to care at this point. My chicken burger arrived and I was greeted by a limp brioche bun, mildly warm pre-grilled chicken fillet and some warm chips. Again, I ate this as I was ravenous but it was quite frankly pathetic. I regret not going to the nearby Mcdonalds as I'd have had a much higher quality meal than I received at this hotel. The chef should be renamed 'The Heater of Precooked Food Items of Low Nutrional Value'. I really can't remember the last time I had such an awful meal. Room: Mattress too soft, too hot (broken aircon and window wouldn't open). Dreadful night's sleep. Breakfast was just ok.

Great stay
Our stay was excellent, the service is excellent, we went down for breakfast on the first morning to come back after breakfast to find our room had already been cleaned and made up! It is very handy for the bus into the city centre with the bus stop just outside the hotel entrance. There was also plenty of parking spaces for the car at the hotel.
