Fantastic hotel
Gorgeous hotel, the superior room was a very generous size with an enormous and very comfortable bed. Bar, restaurant and breakfast was all excellent. The staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back in the future.

Nice time, nice hotel but a few niggles
Nice hotel in a good location. We had a basement room that was colder than would have liked although the weather outside was wintery. We had to go out of the hotel to get to the room. We were woken with noisy workmen (It would have been nice to have been told to expect this) and as we were directly underneath the hotels restaurant, a stampede of guests and waiting staff through the ceiling (again, would have been nice to have been told at time of booking, we'd have upgraded). We were in Harrogate to celebrate my wife's big birthday and I'd informed the hotel of this but nothing was said or done which is unusual for a hotel of this quality. In summary, we had a great time but had a few little niggles.

Lumpy bed, freezing room, cold shower
Tired hotel, intermittent heating, shower only dished out cold water and the general bathroom condition was poor. Receptions attitude to no sleep, no shower was I’m sorry about that here’s the bill.

Harrogate buying trip
The room was lovely but no that spacious. only 1 chair. décor a little rough round the edges but overall very nice. service at bar and bistro a little slow but what do you expect in January. very comfy bed. breakfast a little cold and some bits burnt but overall not bad. would stay again if in harrogate

The Hotel was lovely - room very clean, spacious and well presented. And the downstairs bar and seating area good for an afternoon drink and chat. Plus breakfast was exceptional. However, the service left something to be desired. On check in, it was clear we were an inconvenience to an ongoing conversation the reception staff were having. Then on the way to the room, we again clearly interrupted another conversation in the corridor on the second floor where our room was and it was like a tumbleweed moment as they immediately stopped talking, pretty much stared us down as they waited for us to go past (we laughed it off but it was comical), before starting talking again as we entered our room. After that we were very satisfied, hence my ratings, but I’m all for a good first impression. Would I stay again, yes - Hoping it was just one of those incidents
