The Georgetown Inn
Ok for price paid.
This hotel needs a thorough clean. There was a lot of dust especially in the public areas. Our room had dust on the bed head, on the Venetian blinds, on the picture frames and on various other surfaces. There was black mould on the tile grout around the shower. There was a used beer hug on the floor of the room when we checked in and one of the coffee mugs had a large crack in it. The heating unit was very noisy and as the property is located on a busy road and next to the railway line there was a lot of noise from outside. At the back of the property next to the parking area there were 2 large dumpsters and a pile of rubbish. Litter and cigarette ends added to the less than attractive vista. The property does not have a ski room.

The Georgetown Inn
Not worth the money!
The staff were polite. The hallways had a very old stale smell. The rooms were fairly tidy, although the floors hadn’t been vacuumed at all. There was no a/c as well and the room was extrmely hot!

The Georgetown Inn
The room was very quaint & the layout was comfortable. Nice touch with the cookies, tea set, robes, claw foot bathtub & fireplace. Unfortunately, that's where the positive comments end. On our way to the room, the hallway had clearly not been vacuumed in quite some time. Our room had also not been vacuumed as evidenced by the food crumbs in the living area. The bathroom was also not clean & some of the towels were stained as well as one of the robes! Although the bed was comfortable, the top sheet was badly torn. We were definitely disappointed & given the many options in Canmore, we will definitely stay elsewhere on our next visit.

Exceeded my expectations!
What an amazing weekend we had. The hotel was warm and welcoming, room was clean and cozy. We had dinner at the pub and it was fantastic.
