Wish we could’ve stayed longer
Me & my son stayed here whilst going to see Post Malone at the TD Garden. When we arrived there were some employees on strike outside with placards shouting. The receptionist informed us that it had been going on for quite a while. This didn’t bother us and she was very friendly and apologetic. The room was superb, lovely bathroom and comfortable beds. The picketers were back at the hotel the following morning, 7am sharp. We were told that this would happen, we were up anyway, so it didn’t affect us. We had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant, there was only one waitress servicing the whole restaurant, but she was friendly and efficient. The gentleman on the front desk was also friendly, informative and efficient. We would love to visit Boston for longer in the future and we wouldn’t hesitate in booking this hotel for our stay.

Very good 8.0
good but beware of extra charges.
Overall the hotel was good. Rooms clean and staff pleasant. Our AC unit scent shook noisily when on however. We were awakened at 7am by hotel staff stoking and demonstrating against the management who I understand are changing their working conditions including reducing or removing their medical care. While I understand and agree with their protest the hotel should have had the courage to acknowledge and apologise for it and, more important, should have informed guests in advance of the fact that they would be wakened. Instead we stayed up late and were wakened early. I also object to some of the hotel charges - $18 for two eggs on toast room service turned into $30 when we came to pay. This wasn’t very clear from the in room menu. And then there was the $20 dollars daily charge the staff explained was for WiFi - it was woeful- 3 teabags , a few coffees and access to the gym we didn’t want. Surely tea coffee and WiFi are standard these days and off-site gyms charged for when required. If you are going to charge that much a hotel should ensure the service and quality fits the cost!

How not to keep your guests happy.
Having travelled all day on two flights we arrived 8.00pm very tired. Retiring for the evening I noticed holes in the bed sheets yes holes in the bed linen. I didn't reported the matter as we were too tired. At 7.30am the following morning we were awaken by loud banging in the adjoining room. This continued for approximately 10 minutes, reluctantly we got up to investigate the disturbance, to find two workmen walking down the corridor away from the rooms. Both these incidents were reported but nothing more was heard from the hotel. Obviously customer service doesn't figure too highly at this hotel.

Fair 4.0
We had 2 rooms booked but one was not made available until 5.30 pm, which was disappointing given we were arriving straight after the Boston Marathon. One of the rooms was exceptionally noisy - when next door had a shower it was as if they were in our room with us. We mentioned this to Reception on checkout and they kindly agreed to refund the resort fee on both rooms, but I would hope that they resolve the issue so that other guests do not have to put up with it. I booked here as I had stayed here about 4 years ago. In some areas I think the hotel has become quite tired in those 4 years and does need to be smartened up in order to keep their rating and their membership of the LHW.

Top Notch
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and when I come back to Boston I’ll definitely be staying again, from the general things you’d expect from a hotel to the little extras and the great views was well worth the money and recommend taking the 5 min walk to little Italy for some great Italian food. I stayed here for visiting the TD Garden which is just a short walk away.

Hidden fees and terrible service
Hidden charges of $40 resort fee! And $50 parking per night!? There’s not even a swimming pool let alone resort. When I queried it they said it was for complimentary WIFI and water on the room!? They clearly don’t understand the word ‘complimentary’. They also give you no help to take bags to your room and the room was in a different building outside of the hotel. When we went to check out there was a long queue and the staff were making and receiving phone calls ahead of the people waiting. It was incredibly rude. Not impressed by the service one bit.
