The Wheatsheaf at Swinton
Lovely unpretentious and relaxing hotel. Food was fabulous and done to perfection, staff could have been more helpful, a genuine, understated place to visit, sadly only one night but will come back again for longer.

My friend's wedding
The staff were helpful, I went for a friend's wedding. The breakfast was delicious and they catered well for vegetarians. They answered my questions well, and when I checked out and in, they were understanding.

Second time we have stayed. On this stay we were very disappointed with the food, but it wouldn't stop us from staying again. The food was a bit over priced as was the drinks but all in all a good stay

Very good with a couple of issues
Hotel is very nice, the staff are very professional and the food and drink range in the restaurant are outstanding. Couple of small issues, the room was like an oven and I didn't want to open a window as I was ground floor facing onto the street so could touch people walking past. The other as well as an eternal grumble about disliking wet rooms was that everytime the couple in the room above went to the toilet, it sounded like wildebeest charging across the savannah...lord alone knows what they would have made of my snoring! Nonetheless a lovely hotel I would definitely use again and the wifi was excellent allowing me to stream tv...a rare luxury in hotels.
