The Park Hotel Preston
Not the very best place to rest.
Room was clean and tidy but rather cold, too much noise from the outside but staff was friendly .The doors were banging whole night.Ammenities and local shops too far away.

Comfortable stay with friendly, helpful staff
Very comfortable stay with helpful, friendly staff. Large spacious room (Superior Room) , modern & nicely decorated and well equipped. Comfortably large breakfast room, quick & friendly service, good English Breakfast. Appreciated keypad main door entry as we did not get back to hotel until after midnight each evening. Hotel is large Victorian mansion that has been modernised and has a modern extension. Car park gets busy but plenty of parking space on road, which is wide and not a lot of traffic. Really need a car to get to shops and restaurants. As far as I could tell no lounge or bar at the time we stayed (there was some renovation work taking place which did not affect our stay. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Good cheap option, just not perfect.
Hotel was basically good, but not great. Room was a fair size, and comfortable enough, but it is little things like a light bulb not working, cobwebs in high corners and being able to hear the next room that stops me from giving this hotel a 5 rating. There was building work going on, which made parking harder, which made me wonder why I paid an extra £5 a day for the privilege. This is a good option hotel if you are out most of the time, and are just looking for somewhere as a base and to sleep, but it really isn't somewhere you could spend a day.

Terrible hotel
This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The first room I was put in it was one the ground floor and the windows had been forced open and were broken. I requested to be moved and the reaction to taht was very poor. I was moved to a room called the penthouse and that was disgusting. It had not been cleaned the windows were mouldy and did not shut properly, the bin had not been emptied and was disgusting. The owner suggested that I would have to pay extra if I stayed in that room! I moved my belongings into the car and was moved the next night into a first floor room which had been cleaned but one of teh windows was broken again. The breakfast was inedible I tried the poached eggs and then the scrambled eggs both were disgusting. The whole hotel was unkempt and unclean. Reception staff were n ot always helpful. The ladies were really helpful the men less so. At one point I went to reception and the two gentlemen there just ignored em and carried on talking even though it was obvious I was there. I had to ask for their attention I would not recommend this to anyone and I think it is a disgrace that people come from abroad stay here and then have that impression that that is how hotels are in England. Yes it is cheap but not cheap enough for how disgusting it was.
