The systems had gone down so we had a little bit of a wait before we could be checked in. My biggest issue is that we were given room 003 on the ground floor, this did not seem like it was the deluxe suite that I had paid a little extra for, it seemed like it was just a standard room. Also, the description when booking said city view and we had no view at all. We could not see out of any window, as it appeared we were below ground level.

The hotel’s system was down & it was an absolute mayhem. It was clear that the hotel staff were not trained on what to do in situations like these. As we were queuing no one came up to explain what’s happening & that we will need to fill out forms. We arrived after 4 pm and our room still wasn’t ready. And it was not until after 5pm When we managed to get into our room. I have to say the room was wonderful and clean and an absolute delight. I cannot fault the room, it’s amenities, cleanliness, etc. The other thing I need to point out was the lifts which were incredibly slow. We had to wait almost 10 minutes before it stopped and one time even skipped our floor. We would have walked but we were on the 6th floor. Breakfast was delicious in nice surroundings but here again there was an absolute mayhem. I found it very strange that they placed the pancakes on the total opposite side of the breakfast room, far from the buffet. I could not find the plates so when I asked the waitress for help she told me to go and pick it up from the other side of the room. At the breakfast buffet they only had hot plates, again very strange as you have the continental breakfast items like cold meats&cheese there and these were the only plates I could use. It may have been peak time which caused the issues but the experience wasn’t that great & not relaxing. Overall great, trendy hotel in a good location but the check-in process, waiting times, disorganised and panicky staff let it down

Very good 8.0
Our stay was quite pleasant until the last day when the room wasn’t cleaned until after 3pm. I even had to ask for it to be vacuumed. The cleaning was very shoddy at best as the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. The towels were simply changed. The entire cleaning was done within 5 minutes!!!

Weekend stay
A handy format for travelling with children and nicely furnished. Let down by the apartment being disappointingly small and the breakfast area being overcrowded and uncomfortably hot.

Great location in Kensington
We booked and paid for 2 adults and a child. When we booked in we were told we would have to pay £10 per night for my child’s bedlinen on top of what we had paid for her accommodation. It then took 6 hours for them to bring us the bedding. The bathroom door fell off and onto us whilst we were asleep. The front of the kitchen sink fell off when we opened the dishwasher. However, the breakfast was superb the staff are lovely and the location is fantastic. There is a Tesco next door so you have everything to hand to create a great base if you are there for a few days.
