Terrible condition & Outdated decor Shabby Room
The air conditioner in the room was not working, and the controls on the thermostat are fixed so you can't adjust to an optimum temperature. As the night went on the heat kept going up and the room for incredibly hot, we couldn't sleep. And we couldn't open the windows as they are sealed for safety reasons. By morning time. I was throwing up due to the high heat in the room and no circulation. When we reported this to reception, she casually said, " Oh did the heating kept going up even though you were turning it down on the thermostat? , Yes it does that because it's broken, and we are waiting for it to be fixed". Not sure if it was the problem in the hotel or just our room. The next morning the lifts were broken and had to use the stairs from the 4th floor carrying our luggage. The carpets are worn and the place could do with a spruce up in the room. Such a shame about this, the location is perfect, but for this kind of service, i shall be looking at other nearby hotels that have got great maintenance and service, the next time I visit the area. This hotel is definitely overrated. Huge disappointment for us.

Nice but overpriced
Holiday Inn Bloomsbury was fine. The staff were pleasant, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However it wasn’t FANTASTIC which is what I would expect of a hotel that is charging £247.50 for a one night stay!

The Holiday Inn London-Bloomsbury is a hotel I would visit again. This hotel’s strength should not only be measured by its great location (which they definitely have), but it should be reviewed through the hotel’s ability to deliver what it promises to do. This hotel does. They want you to be happy 10/10 and they promise, through a leaflet found in the room, that if you have a problem that it would be fixed immediately. Well, I had an issue and even if the issue was so small and maybe trivial, the hotel professional employees dealt with it immediately (no objections, no excuses). WOW. Thank you Anna(Ann) for you and your team. I originally booked 3 nights but extended my stay for an additional 7nights. Thank you Holiday Inn London-Bloomsbury for being my home during my London vacation. I look forward to coming back.
