Bad local area!
Very bad local area!!! We were almost harassed by local people while we were coming back from new year celebrations!! Not great for safety of woman. They talked something which is not English to my wife. There was mildly warm water in the shower!!! You expect better in cold nights! No kettle to make green tea. Room heating was like centralized and 19.5 in cold nights. very bad!!! Very basic breakfast! Very thin blanket provided!!! Worst Wifi ever!!!

Staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast good quality and set you up for the day. The local area is a lively in the evenings and a little run down. The hotel is triple glazed which effectively deals with the boisterous student life outside. There are some very reasonable and good quality restaurants nearby - try Pomidoro 4 minutes away. Overall the local restaurants are a good deal cheaper than in town. The hotel is a short walk to the terminus but you need to use public transport to visit most of the tourist sites. Would happily recommend the hotel.

NO AIR CONDITIONING PLEASE FLAG THIS LISTING
FALSE LISTING. There was no air conditioning. It was warm when I arrived and I asked and was told "it's not on yet" but he promised to ask the manager. But I could open the window. Two days later Rome hit 27 degrees, sunny and humid and my room was 25.4 C = 78 F. Still no air. He offered me another room that was 26 C (79 F). Slept with window open again and woke up very early on a day when I did not have any work and plenty of time to sleep. This is ridiculous and I feel I am owed a refund. Of course I checked for a/c before making the reservation in Rome in the middle of May. All I got was a very warm room. If you promise breakfast, you don't tell a guest when they arrive "not this week." If you promise en suite, you don't tell a guest "well not your room, sorry." If you promise a/c and there is a/c, this is false advertising and should be sanctioned by Hotels.Com for the comfort of future guests.

Rome hotel worth remembering
easy to find -easy 20 minute walk from the terminus. The staff were pleasant and helpful. the conitnental breakfast was very good. comfortable room and roomy shower. There is also a lovely reception lounge and computer / printer for travellers. It was a short stop over for us there, but we would definitly return. there is a few lovely shops and plenty of cafe.

Very good stay at the Laurentia Hotel in Rome
This is a very comfortable hotel with a very professional and helpful staff. The rooms are modern. Alberto at the front desk was very helpful as were the other front desk staff. The cleaning staff did an excellent job making up the room each day. The area around the hotel has many very good and reasonably priced restaurants. We would stay there again in the future.
