Exceptional 10.0
Extremely friendly family owned hotel.
Marco and his wife did everything possible to make me feel at home. Marco confirmed all my tours and gave me directions to the sites I wanted to see. The breafast was wonderful and consisted of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, jucises, cereals, eggs and coffee. The owners brought me coffee. They also provided a PT where I could exchange money, and suggestions for where to dine. My room was very comfortable with a courtyard which I wanted and plenty of AC and wi-fi and TV. The bed, room and bath was very clean and the bed was comfortable. In the morn I was greeted with a knock on my door for the requested wake-up call. Breaffast was from 7am till 9:30 am and on the days I missed it they gave me coffee and pastry . The day of departure Marco carried my luggage to the taxi. The Hotel is 20 minutes away from the major and train station. The evening staff was most accomadating and friendly. On my next visit I plan on staying there.

Ok hotel experience
The hotel is upstairs in an old building and on the second floor. The 1st and 3rd floors have other uses. The room we had was Ok, two twin beds as requested. The beds are just Ok, not particularly comfortable. Our room was on the street side of the building so there was some noise from early morning until late evening. It was reasonable quiet from 11pm to 6am. All in all, this hotel is not a great bargain. The best aspect of this hotel is the staff. They were all friendly and helpful in every way. The staff made very good cappuccino for us as part of the free breakfast. The buffet type breakfast was good (not great). I would not value it at more than 10 euros if you are doing price comparisons. However it was good enough to get us off to a good sightseeing start and, it is convenient to have it in the hotel. Finally, the hotel is walking distance from all the important sites to see in Florence. That said, one day in Florence is enough to see everything worth seeing.

Exceptional 10.0
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We arrived early and they held our luggage. Answer any and all questions, Had great conversations and you could tell they truly care about the guests. The staff/owners are so friendly and the place is very clean and comfortable. They have a very good breakfast arrangement, with really good coffee. The hotel is very close to all the major attractions and within walking distance. There is also a bus stop just outside the main door. The main door locks at night (makes for good safety), and someone is at the desk 24hrs a day. I will stay here every time I come to Florence.

Great staff!
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There were four of us and we had 2 rooms and 2 baths in a separate suite area. We had lost our luggage and the staff was excellent in helping us with telephone numbers for the airport and assistance. The breakfast was delightful and they provided us with wine glasses for our room. It was our first stop in Italy and we didn't realize how much we appreciated having a 24 hour front desk until we went to other locations that did not have that service.

Very good 8.0
Clean and comfortable
Very friendly and helpful staff. We could walk to the station and the main attractions within 25 minutes (only 5 minutes to the Accademia). Our room turned out to be an "economy room" with only one small window, too high up to be able to see out of. We don't spend much time in the room though, so the lack of a view didn't matter to us. The bed was comfortable, and the air-con worked well (good thing, since it was 30 degrees outside!) Good idea to buy the Florence pass if you plan to visit several of the attractions.
