Very good 8.0
A good value.
The Giglio is a bargain . It is located on a busy street with bus stops, but only a 15 min walk to the duomo. There are good restaurants and a grocery store close by for all your needs . Our room was quiet , spacious and very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The front desk was very helpful with anything you might need 24 hours a day. I would recommend this small gem to anyone on a budget who wants to be walking distance to all the sights.

Ok hotel experience
The hotel is upstairs in an old building and on the second floor. The 1st and 3rd floors have other uses. The room we had was Ok, two twin beds as requested. The beds are just Ok, not particularly comfortable. Our room was on the street side of the building so there was some noise from early morning until late evening. It was reasonable quiet from 11pm to 6am. All in all, this hotel is not a great bargain. The best aspect of this hotel is the staff. They were all friendly and helpful in every way. The staff made very good cappuccino for us as part of the free breakfast. The buffet type breakfast was good (not great). I would not value it at more than 10 euros if you are doing price comparisons. However it was good enough to get us off to a good sightseeing start and, it is convenient to have it in the hotel. Finally, the hotel is walking distance from all the important sites to see in Florence. That said, one day in Florence is enough to see everything worth seeing.

Great price and location in central Florence
A comfortable and convenient old hotel with excellent staff and a good breakfast. Located across the street from a nice restaurant and just around the corner from the church of San Marco with the magical paintings of Fra Angelico.

Welcoming, good breakfast
The hotel staff we fabulous. The location was a little out of the way but it was quiet. The fridge didn't work and the staff knew about, the Wifi was weak and the bed needs a new mattress. However, after all that, we enjoyed our stay.
