Love my stay
Nice and helpful front desk representative and walked everywhere without taking any public transport! Awesome location and clean rooms!

Very pleased with my stay.
The location is magnificent. Right across from the Medici palace. The owners and staff were very accommodating. They went out of their way to help. I left my electricity adapter at a previous hotel; they had one for me to use. They helped me up the stairs with my luggage. Bottled water is available for purchase

Blast from the Past
Check in was rough. In an attempt to be very helpful, the hosts seem to over-explain, creating more questions in the process. So, helpful, yes. I will not fault them that... But seeing how we had just sat through literally an hour of helpfulness to the woman ahead of us, we really just wanted to get out of the lobby when it was our turn, especially since we were already familiar with Florence. One major concern that we had was when staff entered our room while we were out. We were only booked for one night, so housekeeping was not part of our stay. The AC, which had been working and which we turned off properly when we left, apparently somehow broke while we were out (???), so, someone entered our room while we were gone, added a fan, and apparently looked for a TV remote. Again, I'm all for helpful, but would like to be aware when someone is entering my room (which is my one safe haven in a foreign city) so that I might properly secure my belongings. So, all-in-all, there's an outdated, small-town inn feeling to the place. Processes are outdated, furnishings are outdated, but if you're after a more slow-going, local, kind and attentive experience, you'll be just fine here.

Old hotel in the centre of Florence and near the train station. It faces a square so I was worried out it being noising at night but it wasn't if you closed the two sets of windows. Air conditioner worked well and the bathroom was very functional. Not bad for a 2 star hotel.

Wonderful Small Hotel
We had a wonderful stay! The staff who I am sure one or more are Owners are so gracious and nice. The room was large and comfortable. It was so nice to have a shower that had a strong water flow and a large bathroom. The room had a really high ceiling which made it feel even more spacious. I wasn’t sure why they give you face towels that are like table clothes because they don’t work very well for your face but you can just use the larger softer towels which we did. The ekevator if needed is quite small and only about 2 people can fit in it, but I guess that’s pretty standard around there at small hotels. Breakfast is inexpensive and was worth it just for the great cup of cappuccino. Don’t forget to leave your room key at the front desk because its not allowed outside of the hotel. It’s attached to a heavy gold hunk of metal anyways so who wants to carry that around with them all day and night out! The location is located in the heart of a great area for restaurants, shopping and entertainment. I would definitely stay there again if I’m ever in Florence.
