We spent our first night in the hotel without basic functioning electricity in the room and then management lied about compensating me for the disastrous stay. At 9pm at night I was told I would have to go on expedia and find a new hotel to stay because of the electricity in my room. If only I had working electricity in my room then I could charge my phone and call expedia to rebook! Somewhat luckily, out of necessity, the night manager and I figured out the right combination of things to unplug and circuit breakers to switch off so that he deemed it safe for me to stay in the room. They moved me to a different room the following day and offered me free breakfast after I asked for compensation for the disaster the previous night. The $15 upgrade(check expedia pricing options) they provided me that includes free breakfast with the larger room is something that is supposed to be offered anyway if available since I was an expedia gold member. The manager Nicholas told me in person that it would be possible to be refunded for the first night but I would have to coordinate with expedia. I did coordinate with expedia and when they spoke with the hotel they went back on their word and refused to refund me for the first night. They claimed that the $15 upgrade, and offer for champagne (which I didn’t accept) satisfied them for compensation. I paid $300 for the room that night at a 4 start hotel in Paris. I didn’t book a tent in the park, I expect to have electricity.

Stay here. The staff at Villa Madame wins the prize for caring for its guests and anticipating and attending to every request and comfort. The staff works seamlessly to make your stay a happy, unforgettable experience. The 6th Arrondissement of St. Germain des Pres provides a perfect blend of sophistication and youthful energy, along with fantastic city-sights proximity and fantastic cafes. We were there, my daughter and I, to reunite and create a new memory to treasure. Nathanaël was kind and generous in sharing his advice on where to go, what to see, how to travel to destinations, and listening to all of our adventures after busy days in a city that exceeds any expectations. Have the breakfast at Villa Madame! What a gorgeous way to commence the day, with delicious croissants and baguettes, a diversity of egg and meat choices and preparations, fresh-squeezed juices, and a green garden bower of beauty framing the meal that sets the tone for your day. The waitstaff is prompt, pleasant and attends to your every taste and desire. Snuggle in for the best night's rest of your life in a luxurious bed in this well-kept, scrupulously clean hotel. Whether you've been out late to enjoy Parisian nightlife or in early to rest up for the next day, the fortunate guests who've chosen wisely to stay at Villa Madame are ensconced in a room they are glad to "come home to"! We loved our time here at Villa Madame!

After reading lots of reviews, I opted to not book the smallest room size. The slightly larger sized room had a coffee maker in it. My husband, who is 6'5" (also appreciated the extra room) made great use of said machine! The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. My husband ate some bad oysters our first night in Paris. The hotel helped us get a doctor to make a house call to him on a Sunday. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant. I, unfortunately cannot eat wheat (no croissants for me), so they provided gluten free bread that was actually pretty good. I've eaten some pretty terrible GF bread as it is hard to make edible in my opinion. Breakfast was costly, so we only ate it a few times. Location of hotel was absolutely perfect. There is a Michelin rated restaurant less than a 1/2 block away. We ate there twice! There is a wonderful bakery (for my husband) even closer. We walked everywhere we went for 7 days, including the Eiffel tower (about 5 mile walk and a river boat cruise back). It's a block from the Luxembourg Gardens and museum and only a bit farther to the Pantheon and Musee de Orsay. We had a glass of wine/cocktail in the evening several evenings by the fireplace. I took advantage of the fruit bowl in the breakfast room in the afternoons. Check in and out was quick and efficient. Staff were just lovely. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Exceptional hotel!
Villa Madame is a beautiful hotel tucked away on a quiet street yet within a short walk to restaurants, shopping, and the Metro. It is next to a grade school and I personally enjoyed hearing the recess activity. We stayed in an executive room for 4 nights. This included a bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower....nice. The room was spacious and well planned right down to the wardrobe for storing your clothes. They had thought of just about anything you'd need and had it there. Coffee maker with real cups and saucers ( no paper here!), small refrigerator with complimentary sparkling water, a small snack of nuts and fruit, a shoe polishing kit, an umbrella, books on Paris, toiletry kit, and even bathrobes and chocolates! Wow! The staff was there 24 hours a day and were always super pleasant and helpful. There's a beautiful sitting room and eating area with a small business office with printer ( all complimentary). Even the tiny elevator was cute! There's also a small garden seating area we enjoyed. I can't say enough about our experience here. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Villa Madame staff!

Great home base for a Paris trip!
We were spending a week in France with an initial 2 day stay, followed by 2 nights out of town and then 3 nights back in the city. We'd planned to stay at a hotel we've used in past that's right up the street from Villa Madame. Unfortunately they were booked for our first two nights so I booked Villa Madame because we love the neighborhood. We were extremely impressed upon arrival and loved the room and the hotel so much that we cancelled our final 3 nights at our old hotel and booked again with Villa Madame. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room and bed were comfortable and the neighborhood was nice and quiet at night. After a day of crowds and business in other parts of the city, returning to this neighborhood let us unwind and truly relax at night. There are lots of nice cafes, bistros, bakeries, etc in the neighborhood and it's a 5 minute walk to our favorite spot for morning coffee and sidewalk watching. We will definitely stay again!
