Dont stay here
Very disappointing. Wouldnt recommend to anyone. Noise stopped outside at 1.30 am and started again at 5.30. Staff very unhelpful. When I asked for some ice for a swollen foot. I was told to walk back to co-op and buy some. Also Gare du Nord was closed on local line and when he knew where we were going home he could have told us. Room very very small. Only glass door slightly frosted between bed and toilet. No privacy. Can of coke missing from our fridge after cleaning he wanted us to pay for

Hotel is very dated and rat infested
Was a really bad stay, as soon as we got there we were supposed to check in at 12, but the cleaner wasn’t ready so had to sit in a tiny tiny lobby until she was ready. The moment we entered the room it stinked of rats and droppings, that or a very very damp smell, bed was like a brick, genuinely hurt to sleep in it for a full night, woke up sore everyday I slept in it, walls were paper thin and windows were single glazing so you heard every foot step and I was woken up every morning by the sounds of the bins getting emptied. No lift and stairs are very steep and confined soo it hard to lift luggage up them and that was hand luggage at that! Shower didn’t heat up one bit throughout the full stay no matter how long we left it running, had to go for freezing cold showers every night which was not comfortable. And the last and probably the worst thing is that rats enter the room, you can hear them moving around within the cavity of the thin walls it genuinely is a very unpleasant place to be in.

Good location, good value
Good little hotel for a no frills stay. I was on a solo trip, and it was perfect for my needs. The staff was very friendly. Although the quality seemed okay, I did not try the breakfast as it seemed a bit pricey, but mostly because I was out being touristy. The room was comfortable, but in a bit of need of some love. The showers in particularly could do with a good deep clean as there was visible mold. My only real complaint was at the time of my stay, there was construction which began before 7:30 am every day of my stay. Had I known, I would have chosen another hotel as I was on vacation and wanted a day or two of quiet lazy mornings

Nice basic hotel. Good location near a local metro line and not far of a walk to the Eiffel Tower.

Everything you need for Paris
I booked two rooms at Hotel Amelie for a two night stay. My husband and I stayed in a "macaron" room (very cute!) while my parents had a plain room. The rooms were slightly on the smaller side, but there was enough space for us to put our things. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. I was unable to get the wifi to work, but my parents did not have any problems. We did not get the breakfast, but from what we saw, it looked basic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but good, if you don't mind walking while traveling.
