Great rooms, great location, functioning AC
Great stay. We were given a room on the first floor which was very clean, comfortable, spacious and most importantly had a functioning air conditioning. Check in was fast and smooth. The hotel itself is very nicely done and well maintained. The location of the hotel is great.. quiet but easy to find with good access to shops, restaurants and cafes. Its also within a few minutes walk from the bus and railway stations. We liked this part of Venice better than central where we had stayed earlier. The canals are nicer and wider, its less busy than central and loads of reasonably priced cafes and restaurants. Venice being a small place, everything is pretty walkable... realto bridge and the san marco square are approximately 15 minutes walk away. If enjoyed our stay in Ca Riza and highly recommend it.

Very Good8.0
Great small hotel in the heart of Venice.
The location of this hotel can be viewed as 'perfect' and 'challenging' at the same time. It's located in a small side street very close to the action (plus), but a good walk from the place where taxi can take you. With all the bridges and cobblestone streets, dragging your suite case is a challenge. Opt for a backpack or just suffer through it. It's worth it, i think. Very friendly owners, helped us with communication before our late arrival. Opened the door for us (the lock it for the night) and we only did check-in the next morning during breakfast. Room was an ok size. The bathroom, was quite small. Not surprising, but was a challenge for my 6'2" husband to fit into the shower stall. Breakfast was good - they cook eggs any way you want right there in the kitchen. Everything is fresh and tasty. We stayed only for one night before the cruise next day, but we enjoyed the experience.

Quaint and charming
Ca Riza and our host was very charming. I didn't realize how small it would be (more of a B&B feel), but that sweetened the deal. That said, expect to have a true Italy and Venice experience with the styling, breakfast, and hospitality. There is a very small terrace with two chairs that we enjoyed very much. Great spot to enjoy wine! Breakfast was a light assortment of pastries, meats, fruits, hard boiled eggs and the like. I heard another guest say it was hard to find, but we had absolutely no trouble. It was a 15 minute walk from the train station, not bad for us but we kept our luggage small and easy to carry when needed. We could also walk all over Venice as many shops, restaurants, etc. were practically right outside the door. We'd certainly return!

Great people, convenient location and comfort!
Staying at the Ca' Riza was a wonderful experience. The hotel is very conveniently close to the Plaza Roma. The apartment was big enough to accommodate up to 10 people, so our family of 6 was very comfortable. There's only one bathroom, so it can be challenging to get everyone showered and ready. The best feature of this property was the people who we dealt with: Romano and Pina. They were absolutely fantastic! Very kind, helpful and delightful. They helped us book a transport from and back to the airpot, were ready to answer any question and even wwnt to pick us up at the Plaza Roma to walk to the hotel. If I ever come back to Venice, I would surely stay with them again!
