Lovely hotel with stunning pool and sun lounge area. We were half bored and had intended to eat out one of the three evenings but the food was so good that we decided to eat at the hotel every night. Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms and fantastic breakfast. And very reasonably priced too.

Very friendly staff who could not do enough for you.Exceptionally clean not just bedrooms but public areas.Drink prices were very reasonablel.More than adequate breakfast and evening meal exceptional. Pool area needs some individual sun umbrellas that guests can put up themselves.We found it uncomfortable with not having adequate shade.

A hidden Gem
Our second visit to the Essence and we loved it. The clientelle has changed a little, younger and little louder, but overall it was a great stay. Monica and Elisa in the restaurant are true stars, brilliant service throughout our holiday. We ate half board for ease, and the food was as good as the last time. Relatively small selection, but always find plenty of choices. The pool area is HOT in the summer, but we favour the beach anyway. Aircon in rooms is excellent. Front bar area on roadside is OK, could do with a little 'softening' and the lighting is too bright at night, but overall - it's a gem of a hotel and can highly recommend.
