Sonder the Earl is located very centrally to town, an easy 10-15 minute walk. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The room was very small, but thoughtfully constructed. No elevator and The 5 flights to the top floor should be mentioned beforehand, but for us, it was our daily workout!!! Thank you for helping my trip to Dublin be special!

Room mix up
A day before check in we received notification of a room change. Instead of being in a superior room we had booked into we were in a tiny room that was not superior. When we complained, we were moved to a bigger room which may or may not have been superior. Moving rooms created new door codes generated by the system. These codes locked us out of the building and our new room. This took about 15 mins for them to resolve but we were quite concerned that we might be locked out again when we returned later in the evening. The room was too hot and there was only a "fan". It was a ground floor room so it should not have been as warm as it was. It also was quite noisy so we were woken early by people and car noises right outside even with the window closed. Having the window open was not feasible. The room was clean and tidy but we are unlikely to ever stay at this hotel chain again. We were promised a partial refund for the inconvenience caused but that did not occur. Finally having the same code for room and building access did mean that anyone could watch you put the outdoor code in and then access your room.
