Excellent accommodation in a grandiose building.
Very comfortable stay. This five star hotel is in a lovely, tranquil setting. Very helpful staff and easy checkin service. Good menu of food on offer . Very tasty carvery menu in the evening with roast beef, Turkey and ham and other casseroles etc. excellent range of vegetables and condiments. Excellent cooked breakfast on offer.

Anniversary stay
We visited here as a wedding anniversary celebration i did check reviews prior to booking so knew it was going to be a risk here. Room was sort of clean. Needed lots of tlc bathroom clean however stains on bottom of divan bed on floor near radiator where it had leaked. Weird black stains on bath didnt feel clean to use. We had a dog with us so we knew it wasn't going to be amazing spotless. Place was like what other reviews said needs a lot if money spent on it to get it up to standard. Staff was nice food was lovely but dont think we would return

Room really clean, bathroom also clean and spacious. However, windows, wallpapers are old and in need of a refurbishment. Reception staff friendly. Restaurant staff really rude, waited one day 10 minutes to be sorted and brought us cold milk.
