Lovely hotel, great place to stay and eat
Due to maintenance issues at the OYO Dryfesdale Hotel, we we asked if we would stay at the sister, Sure Hotel. We agreed and the owner kindly gave us a free room upgrade. The bedroom was gorgeous, clearly recently refurbished and was very clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We dined in the bar restaurant- just a quick main course and Diet Coke. The beef burger and chips (with side of onion rings) was truly delicious. The portion was so generous so we couldn’t manage a desert. It was nice to see the hotel owner, not only “manning” the reception, helping to carry our bags upstairs when we arrived, but also mucking in in the restaurant, clearing plates and checking guests were happy. Overall, we had a brilliant stay and will return and recommend to others. There are not a lot of decent places to eat in the locality, and this hotel welcomes non-residents to dine. I only hope that locals get to find out what a gem they have on their doorstep and get to enjoy the lovely relaxed bar/restaurant and gorgeous food.

Only issue I had was that due to booking through hotles.com we didnt not get option for breakfast were as the other group we were staying with for a family weddibg booked direct through the hotel itself and had breakfast in with there cost, but we were to pay £15 per morning for breakfast per person! I would defo try bookibg through the hotel itself rather than be duped into paying an extra £60 for breakfast.

We stayed here on our way to the highlands. This is a lovely hotel that is really well maintained. The rooms have been renovated recently and are very comfortable. It's situated on top of a hill and has beautiful grounds surrounding it.

Was one if rhe best nights sleep weve had in a hotel ever. The room was way above expectations. The safe wwre suoer friendly and helpful. The room itself was stunning and very clean. Everything there you'd need. So impressed and would highly recommend. Thank you so mu h for such a lovely stay
