    Lovely bright and cosy hotel

Lovely welcome! Really helpful with parking and checking in, made it very easy. Lovely clean room and facilities. Very sweet breakfast basket as alternative during COVID, though we were a bit disappointed at having dry sausage sandwiches rather than cooked breakfast, thought this could have been brought out. Overall lovely stay, thank you!

Wasn’t to my liking. Lift broken, very little light where we had breakfast and breakfast service a bit chaotic. Had my family back before they went on train journey hoping to get light bite food but just afternoon teas available. Car park quite eerie and was challenging to get door to function and a bit awkward since there’s not access from hotel.

Hotel was lovely and clean, although broken bed

Hotel was lovely and clean with friendly staff, only off putting part was the bed was a bit broken and the fire alarm went off at half 8 in the morning, waking us up in a panic to just phone down and be told it was a false alarm because of steam from a shower.

We stayed here two nights and the only time we really spent in the hotel was sleeping and getting changed so for that it wasn’t too bad. It isn’t too far from the city centre but if you’re going to be walking round the city centre as well you’ll be knackered if you walk there and back. However, it was only about £7 in a taxi or £1.70 on the bus which is right outside the hotel. The room itself was tiny and cramped the floorboards are ridiculous! They were all really wonky and so loud in the whole building so you could hear everyone walking around. There is a lot of construction work going on around the area so it’s quite noisy during the day then we were in a room right next to outdoor fans (assuming it was the plant room) so it was noisy on a night as well. The street that the hotel is on is quite dark and creepy so if I was just with a few of my girl friends I don’t think I’d stay here. Overall it’s was okay but I think if we went again we’d spend the extra money to stay on Princes Street.
