Room 116 was very cold even after we double checked with reception how the heating system worked. I have seen reviews from others who stayed in neighboring rooms further down the corridor that they had the same problem. When we stayed last year at the same time, in a room closer to the front (104) we didn't have any complaints. Anyways it is in a ver spot

Listen to the ocean

Lovely hotel on the water in central Västervik. The mild rocking and sea air will lull you to sleep. Would have been a 5 star if it hadn’t been for some outdated features like the tv in the room and the high cost for the warm bath adjacent to the property. Felt a little steep for hotel guests.

The location is fantastic, service at the restaurant average, breakfast buffet below average, clean and great room. I eat a high protein diet, sadly scrambled eggs at breakfast were made out of powder/liquid (tasteless), soft/hard boiled ones were there but it felt like there was some eggs shortage… the buffet was constantly lacking something (fruit, eggs, salmon not refilled quickly enough). Please consider more options for high protein breakfast: kvarg instead of yoghurt, add sunny-side up eggs.
