All was great. Shame about the building works on both sides of the hotel.

Cheap but noisy, small rooms despite recent update
Budget priced hotel so I suppose you get what you pay for. Cool, newly updated lobby but very small, dated and noisy rooms. We had to be asked to move from the first one as it was so small we couldn't fit both our suitcases on the floor and still move around. And that was an 'upgraded' one as it was our honeymoon. They moved us to a slightly bigger corner room which had no very little natural light, which would have been fine had the lights actually been bright enough to see anything, which they weren't. Air conditioning was so noisy. So noisy you could actually hear it through the pipes when other rooms on the same floor had theirs on. Complained twice and was told there's nothing they can do about it as it's 'old'. Def wouldn't recommend and certainly won't be returning. Staff pleasant enough despite having to field many complaints about ongoing construction work which is scheduled way into 2017 literally outside.

No Sleep!
Great location, rooms are very small, no wifi, no tea/coffee making facilities. Worst part is the noise, had to move rooms after 1st night. Walls and windows are paper thin. Had hardly any sleep in 4 nights, which is the main purpose of a room in NYC. Awake at 4am every morning due to street noise. Plus dj/banging music playing downstairs in the adjoining restaurant/club till at least 2am.

Building work outside the hotel which restricted access. Air conditioning unit very noisy and was reported. Extraction fan in bathroom didn't work and was fixed immediately. Lifts in hotel were slow and small. Porter on last day was excellent.

Had 3 nights stay in this hotel. Not the first time in NYC so I knew what to expect. Every time in America the staff at most establishments go above and beyond with regards to customer service, however not this hotel.... Or should I say the assistant manager, the rudest female I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. To cut a long story short my mothers phone was taken from her room, this assistant manager did not apologise, accept responsibility or even acknowledge our annoyance at this incident and was not prepared to do anything about it but call the police on us. The NYPD officers did a top notch job, were on our side and informed the assistant manager on how to treat people with respect and do her job, which she clearly has had no training in. I would never stay in this hotel again, I was made to feel like a trouble maker for demanding something which my mother was owed. This female assistant manager who's name I cannot remember but I will get for my trip advisor review. I had almost lost all faith in this hotel however on our last day a male assistant manager was assisting us, to say he was good at his job is an understatement, top class professional. He was helpful and remorseful for what we had been through. The only saving grace for this hotel. Plus the boys on the door are pleasant and very helpful. All in all, very small rooms, no wardrobe or space for suitcases and or shopping. Lifts are very slow. Would I stay here again? NO
