Experience was excellent from start to finish. Very friendly, helpful staff at check-in and they give us useful information on the locality to maximise our stay. Room was spacious clean and had large bathroom. Lovely setting for breakfast. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

The hotel is very clean and is situated in a beautiful historic building with a very nice central courtyard. Location is great for visiting attractions of Bergamo. The breakfast is not great. For this standard of hotel, you might expect freshly baked goods, fresh orange juice, locally produced jams / honey instead of pumped catering jam. Fresh fruit for goodness sake. We are in Italy where the local fresh produce is the best in the world. Staff did not seem happy or helpful . Mainly chatting among themselves, made you feel like you were intruding when asking for something. Restaurant made no effort to fit our family group in. Not even an offer of a later sitting or the following day. We found a much friendlier restaurant down the street

Bergamo historic part of town Hotel.

Very beautiful hotel in an historic part of Bergamo. Only negative is the car parking which requires a special pass in advance. Room is spacious, with lots of amenities like a free standing jacuzzi tub and a small sauna. The bar restaurant was also very nice.

Front desk, bar, and dinner staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and very service-oriented. Only exception was breakfast...a bit of a hectic and crowded food and coffee self-service arrangement with - no obvious line or natural flow so it easily devolves into a mishmash of people going down the tables in different directions, etc. Not a huge deal, but friendly and helpful staff could've eased the human traffic jams and created a pleasant vibe. Instead, their demeanor was sullen - sort of seemed unhappy to be there. When I asked one of them for help because the espresso machine needed emptying of the bin, she seemed annoyed but took care of it right away. Definitely uncharacteristic of the overall experience we enjoyed at the hotel. Comfortable beds and linens, great location for shopping, dining, and walking to the funicular to go up to the Alta Citta. A really great stay.
