    Comfortable room

Beautiful rooms and really helpful receptionist. But let itself down on small things like no remote for TV and a poor choice of breakfast.

We had minor issues with the room and recurring minor issues with housekeeping but reception was unmanned, the sign on reception said closed from 10.00 pm to 08.00 but was closed 95% of the time, there was no-one there to raise the issues with. There was a number for emergencies but this was an emergency, just disappointing.

Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Decorations were tired and evidence of leaks all over the room. Too much furniture in a small room felt very squashed.

    A great hotel

Great location just away from the city centre. Easily walkable into the city within 25 mins and lots of bars and shops on the way. Great rooms and very clean. Reception team friendly and welcoming.

A very welcoming front desk and a decent sized room which was to be found in the basement but which required an additional radiator to warm the room. Sadly there was no cooked breakfast but we made do with a continental version

    Not bad, but not 4*.

This is not a four star property. It’s not bad, but there are issues. First the good: Location. It’s a £5 taxi ride to the city centre, so parking is not a problem. Rooms are relatively spacious and the beds are large. Good water pressure in the showers. The not so good: Mattress was completely shot. Way too soft. Bathroom needed attention. Cracked tiles, mould. Service was inattentive. They replaced the used coffee cup with a dirty cup and did not replace the milk The bar was shut during our stay, due to refurbishment.no mention of this when we booked. We wouldn’t have booked had we known.

Really enjoyable stay in a very good hotel. Rooms well equipped and clean and comfy. Was unable to use the breakfast as only available from 8am and no other provision available.
