Miserable Roman Holiday Hotel
Unfortunately, it was an unhappy experience. Before even checking-in, a phone call from their manager threatened cancellation unless we register at 15:00 sharp. Fortunately, our coach from Venice arrived on time and we just managed. There is no one attending their reception and we called the manager the same evening that the toilet is NOT flushing. He said he will attend to it next day.Early in the morning, water from the WC flooded the room and disrupted our sleep.Kept calling him but he turned up at 13:00. We looked around for alternative hotel through hotel.com but unfortunately as refund was not guaranteed, we would have lost 3 out 4 of paid up nights. We asked the manager for another room as our room was really stinking. After some hassling, he gave us a much smaller room and we had to accept it.

Nice Room, Rough Location!
We arrived at Roman Holidays B&B on 7.10.15 and on first appearances the entrance needed cleaning. The elevator was barely big enough for the two of us although managed to get to the fourth floor. We were greeted by a miserable woman at reception who showed us to our room and then left, explaining things was minimal. However, the room was spotless and thankfully the air con came in handy. There are no complimentary drinks as you have to pay for these. It takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the Vatican City from this B&B. Breakfast was at Bar Doria which is just around the corner and we had a lovely pastry and drink. The B&B was rather noisy in the evening, even though it states "Soundproof Rooms" we still heard our neighbours. This is our first time to Rome which we thoroughly enjoyed however if I visit in the future I will be staying in a much better area.

Basic but good, aside from the elevator
I spent a few days here with my mom. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Vatican museum, which makes it very convenient. The room was also very clean and comfortable enough. The air conditioning worked well. However, the elevator was incredibly small, and it was difficult for my mom to get inside with her rather large suitcase. This isn't the hotel's fault (other than choosing to be in that building) but if you have big bags, it's a serious nuisance. The office also wasn't open very much, so should you need anything, it's not always easy to get in touch. My mom wanted to leave her suitcase for a while on our check-out day, since her flight wasn't till the evening, but couldn't leave the suitcase there past 2 p.m. since the concierge said everyone goes home by then.

Lovely room and staff helpful. Would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities but minibar was reasonable. Breakfast is a voucher for a pleasant cafe around the corner entiltling you to a drink and a pastry. Great location for the Vatican and not far from the metro line.
