Lovely decor, poor breakfast
Really nicely decorated and a lovely pub in a nice setting. The duvet was far too thick for a summer night. Unfortunately the English breakfast was served lukewarm at best, not one item, the whole breakfast! Shame as it spoilt a generally good stay.

The Crown is very nicely decorated and quaint, however we had a very small, extremely hot room. No fan/AC and tiny windows. No hot water for an evening shower, no decaf coffee or brown bread at breakfast. For £150 a night it was a tad disappointing.

Noisy pub. No where for guests to chat after bar closed. No A/C. Breakfast unavailable before 8. only 3 car parking spaces. charged for room when leaving even though it was fully paid via Hotels.com in advance. Room charge was refunded after multiple phone calls.

Disappointing service, good food
We booked this hotel a month prior to our stay. It was our 1st wedding anniversary and we thought the hotel looked lovely. On the day we received a phone call to say we were doubled booked and would be offered another room and it would be discussed on arrival. We arrived and were given keys to the other room. But no attempt was made to apologise or refund the difference as the room was smaller and didn't have the balcony we expected. Not only that we were then told we hadnt paid on check out and had to provide evidence of said payment which they claimed was £288 and we had already paid £322 for the luxury king, not the classic king which was £60 cheaper. Plus another guest we stayed with also had to pay a further £94 because it said they hadn't paid even though we had both gone through hotels.co.uk. To say it was a newly refurbished hotel the rooms had no Aircon and were ridiculously warm, granted a fan was provided but it wasn't adequate in the slightest. It claims to have "limited parking" which for the amount of rooms there are 4 small parking spaces are not enough. It wasn't all bad The decor of the hotel is beautiful and cant be faulted, The drench shower was a nice way to cool off, The breakfast was really nice and some of the staff were really friendly. But then let down by the rest of the staff which seemed a bit clueless and abrupt

I could not of asked for a better place to rest. Arriving from a long and stressful day. Abby went above and beyond to sort out a couple of my booking errors.The room was comfortable, clean and just a delight. The breakfast the next day likewise .it was just what I needed after day I had. I will be returning. Thank you xx
