Fair 4.0
Nice hotel, shame room noisy.
Lovely looking room and breakfast in the bistro was great, the room however was very noisy facing a busy main road. I hardly got a wink of sleep. Checked to see if the window had been left open it was that noisy. Possibly to do with being near a university and it being a Saturday night.

Amazing staff & Can’t wait to go back!
We went over new year as part of our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff without exception were friendly, helpful, efficient and always professional. The French theme of the hotel and bistro most definitely is reflected in the level of service and attention to detail which is not often found in the UK (Including 5 star establishments). Our studio suite was comfortable, stylish and spacious with a massive bathroom. The WiFi was lightning fast (80Mb/s) in our room and all the public areas we tried it! This is a special place and we can’t wait to go back.

Good 6.0
Lovely hotel but terrible bed.
We loved the large room with the roll top bath and huge shower. The hotel is really stylish and has a great vibe BUT the bed was awful - the mattress was hard, the pillows were flat (we got them replaced but the new ones were no better) and there was a constant whistling noise from the extractor fan. All of which meant I got very little sleep and came home feeling wrecked. Not what I expected given the price of the room.

Fabulous in every way. Staff were very accommodating & Beth especially stood out.

Very good 8.0
Xmas market in Edinburgh
The only issue was over getting service from the bar. In the quiet room there is a buzzer to summon someone from the bar. This took too long and/or no one arrived. The bar opening was also only from 4pm (although you could, in theory (see above comment) be served outside these hours). Apart from this we had a really good experience.

As always a really great experience!

Friendly hotel, with good service and a great breakfast. Well located for many of the top Edinburgh sights.
