When we arrived the outside looked like it needed a little bit of TLC but once we got inside could not fault it. We are four married ladies that just wanted a weekend away to chill, unwind with a bit of retail therapy thrown in. This hotel was perfect for that. We stayed in a spacious room with 4 single beds. Staff were lovely. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. And to top it off we were a 5-10 cab ride away from Ashford designer outlet. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be staying there again.

I found the hotel to be very poorly run overall. We stayed there on a Friday night in the summer and there were 3 staff in the whole place. They were lovely and very helpful but they were run off their feet having to do multiple jobs each. There was a 20 minute wait at the bar to get a drink, and when we tried to order food as well we were told that the kitchen had shut temporarily and we needed to come back to order food in 10 mins. I gagged when I got to our room, the smell of wet dog was overwhelming. The bed did seem clean though. When we got to breakfast the next morning there were a lot of gaps in the buffet and 1 staff member running the whole thing, I wouldn't have been surprised if he was also the chef. He didn't get round to getting us our coffee as he was too busy clearing tables, and trying to restock the buffet. It was a complete shambles in my opinion and I would not recommend it at all.

Comfortable large double room, clean and fresh smelling. The on-suite was large and well set out. Only negative was a shower that barely sprayed, no pressure and the temperature fluctuated. Bed was very comfortable and the quilt heavy. Food was standard pub fare well cooked and delicious. The staff were were good, welcoming and helpful. Car parking was easy and secure. Will stay again if available.

The Hotel was ok and I really don’t want to give it a bad review but I feel I need to point out the negatives. The rooms have been recently refurbished with a modern look but it looks like they only did the bedrooms. The exterior is in need of doing. The water pressure was absolutely terrible, the shower was just dribbling out. I informed reception and they said that they would reset the pumps, it became a little better but very hit and miss. With today’s changing climate I would have thought that during a refurbishment they would have installed Air conditioning but they didn’t . The room was really hot and this wasn’t made any better with the portable fan so poor sleep quality. Our room was virtually over a conference room that had an event on. Although the music finished at 11.00pm it was difficult to just chill out and if you needed to sleep for an early start it may have been an issue. The hotel is clean with friendly staff and good parking and only 5 minutes from the M20 motorway. The hotel need to address the issues, this will ensure that it puts them above the lower end budget hotels. Even though I have highlighted the negatives I would still return and give it a second chance.
