It is rare to see a hotel renovation that has focussed so much on quality materials and workmanship as the bedroom upgrades have been completed. The hotel has managed to combine its old world charm with modern and friendly efficiency. We've been staying here for a number of years now and will happily continue to do so, well done Wrea Head, its owners and it's great staff.

A hidden Gem
The hotel is a hidden Gem. All staff have exceptionally high standards. They are attentive without been overbearing. The Standard rooms are spacious and very well appointed. The bathroom again was well appointed with new fixtures and fitting. The whole place is spotless. Many of the downstairs rooms are oak panelled and had a good range of comfortable seating. luxury magazines were in the rooms and public areas. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful overlooking open countryside. Deer can often be seen crossing the lawn. The 1881 restaurant was exceptional. The food is all freshly cooked to order and the chef is fantastic. I can,t recommend this hotel enough. This may be our first visit but it want be our last. Perfect for a quiet relaxing break and yet is only 5 minutes from the seafront in Scarborough.

First visited a year ago on our wedding anniversary. So good we returned this year and as good as the last time...excellent, really well looked after. Food divine. Only ten minutes away from where we live, but why go further with such a place on our doorstep.
