This hotel has a friendly staff, is in a lovely location and it was definitely clean. They also keep the air conditioning on high in the common areas, which was a pleasure to walk into from a day out in the heat. The bed is hard as a rock though, and is basically a cot thCheck in is from 8a-6p

This was a good value for money. It might seem out of the way if you are not familiar with Barcelona public transit, but it is actually only a 5 minute walk to line 6 or 7 metro and from there it's only another 5 minutes or so to Plaça Catalunya. The room is basic and small, which is all I needed; it was tidy and was kept nice and clean while I stayed there. The AC was much appreciated and easy to use. My main objection was this: I was told that if I arrived after 8 pm I would have to come downtown to get the keys. Because of passport and metro problems I was later than I thought; I advised that I was on my way, including just 5 minutes before I arrived, and got there exactly at 8 pm to find that the reception had already closed. I acknowledge that they did tell me it was this way, and that's fair enough, but it would have been a nice gesture after an exhausting airport marathon if they had stayed open just a few more minutes so I didn't have to take another hour to trek downtown with all my bags to get the key. That said, the people I dealt with were pleasant and and they kindly provided me with a USB adapter for my phone. Also, the outer door on my room was misaligned and stuck hard onto the floor, creating a gouge and making it very hard and noisy to open. However, besides these details I enjoyed my stay and was pleased with the value. I know that AirBNB is causing big problems for Barcelona residents so I was glad to be able to stay at a proper hotel at a good price.

Good value for money but no hotel
We arrived 2100h and checking in was at another location, owned by the same owner. This was communicated to us clearly, but only after booking. There are two small restaurants in the street (Thai and pancake meals) and a groceries shop just across the street. Combined with Hola BCN card, actually a good deal. Close enough to Lesseps metro station (the green L3 line). A little bit strange that there is nobody at the door checking who is going in and out, and to be expected on arrival to have to find by yourself the entrance door witch is a not so easily findable door in an apartment building. Choose "E" floor in the elevator and look for a door with a P (pension) and a small Barcelona City North orange logo. The room itself is good, there is aircon, good wifi, hot shower, refrigerator. The shower is small and elevated, so getting out is risky for sliding. Would definitely book again.

Clean, in a quiet and nice location. Cool air conditioning. Nice hot shower. It's not exactly close to the city centre but bus and metro stations are nearby. Wifi was terrible. There was no connection in the room at all. It could be because we stayed in the last room of the hall. There was a bit of connection when we're out of the room. So we ended up sitting in the hallway in order to get Wifi connection. Refrigerator didn't work. It wasn't even cool. The most bizarre thing happened during my stay. One of my bras and tank top gone missing after room cleaning. At first I thought that I must had misplaced them. So I searched all over the room, under the beds, even pull them out, searched under the bed sheets, dresser. I checked drawers even I didn't put anything in the drawers. I ended up leaving one tank top and a bra short. Needless to say, I won't be staying with them again.

Ok, place - some issues
I got there late so I had to go to their other hotel to get keys, which was informed about on beforehand. What they didnt say was that the aircondition wasnt working, and with really warm weather it made sleep impossible the first night. Fortunately it was fixed the next day. That day however, the WIFI was down and the day after it was very slow (30 seconds to load a all text page). I wouldnt normally care so much about that, but they do promote themselves as "the best wifi in Barcelona". It clearly isnt. Lastly, the walls are paper thin, you hear everything going on in the rooms next to you and the hallway.
