This property is adorable, room clean and nicely furnished, front desk and housekeeping staff exceptionally nice, and breakfast was delicious. The location is very convenient to transit - just 1-3 blocks from bus, streetcar and historic cable car stops. Yes there are unhoused people in the area, particularly on Market Street, but there are also many community service officers and we never felt unsafe. I would definitely stay here again.

The room had maintenance issues with a gap in flooring and damaged baseboards. After housekeeping cleaned we found a sock on the floor that didn’t belong to us. The breakfast was served in a closet so we skipped it. There are several nice places to eat within walking distance (.75 miles).

Cons: The City view from my window was covered with a tree, night noise was loud, doors slams, pool was across the street in another hotel, breakfast was small and set up in the lobby on a tiny table, microwave in a small room near the lobby is dirty. We can hear people talking outside (we were on the 2nd floor). Lots of unhoused people around. Pros: Free WIFI, clean room, clean bedding, comfortable matress to get us through the night.
Left over breakfast stored in containers. I hope they didnt serve these the next day.
