Avoid this hotel
The staff were nice enough but the hotel itself was in desperate need of a deep clean if not a complete renovation. The carpets were disgusting throughout the hotel. There was mold in my shower. The shower curtain was precariously attached to the frame of the shower (see pictures). There was no kettle in the room. There was no refrigerator in the room. On our third day, my wife went down right before breakfast was ending and brought up a couple of croissants and coffee to the room. The housekeeper never removed our dirty mugs or plates. When I checked in the key card machine wasn't working. Apparently it had broken the night before and they were waiting on a new machine. I did finally get a key card after about a day and a half. Also on check-in they apparently charged me £369 instead of the £396 they were supposed to charge me. Being that was in pounds and my credit card was was showing me dollars I didn't realize they had made the mistake until they told me when I got back to the hotel that evening. They then had the nerve to charge me that extra £30. If I had seen all of the other things wrong with the room before that I would not have agreed to let them add on the extra charge.

It was ok
So, we rocked up to Regents Park. Only flippin' Jesus Christ Superstar. My fave show. Wine with that sir? Mmmmm. Don't mind if I do. Better find a hotel mind, can't drive 60 miles home with a bottle of white inside me! So good old hotels dot com to the rescue. Less than 1000 meters away and only 80 quid (or so) up comes this hotel. Looks good in the blurb, it's cheap and there's one room left. That will do me!! After show walk and we're there in no time. It's clean enough, the girl on the counter was friendly enough, though mostly more interested in her phone than us). No hassle check in and into the room It was small, monsterously hot and quite noisy (to be fair the noise was probably the fan we found to keep it cooled a little). The shower was ok, the toilet was ok, the bed was ok (if you like rock hard beds that is) In fact if I'm being honest it was all ok. Not great- not terrible. Just ok So- here's a top tip. If you want a cheap room after a show then look no further. Half the price of anywhere else and the breakfast was free too...... oh, that was strictly ok also!

Decent bed for the night
Not stayed here before and booked it as it was so close to Baker Street tube. The hotel was very nice from the outside. The staff were friendly and welcoming, check in was easy. The lift is one of the smallest in the world! And it didn't go all the way up to the top floor (4th floor) where I was staying which was annoying. The stairwell and carpet were well-worn and could do with replacing and decorating. Room was small but cosy, had everything I needed for a one-night stay. Bed and pillows were comfy. Good view out over London from my window. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious! The shower left a lot to be desired, poor water pressure and nigh on impossible to get the temperature right. The (free) breakfast was pretty poor as well, I would recommend going elsewhere if you are hungry. Overall, though, I would stay again and would recommend it if you are having a short stay and only need a bed for the night.

Expected better
We chose this hotel mainly due to its central location, in close proximity to Regent's Park and Madame Tussauds. Also, close to the bus station to the airport. Breakfast was basic but good, and coffee/tea/hot chocolate was available 24/7 in the common area. The bed was comfortable too. However, our room was very small and had a dirty carpet. We did not have a bathroom but rather a shower & toilet, and a sink which you find as you open the front door. Very basic furnishing, small television and not enough space to open our hand luggages. Our room was on the 4th floor - A very basic lift that fits only 2 people takes you up to the 3rd floor, then you have to use the stairs. Not ideal for those carrying heavy luggages. Clearly, this hotel needs a lot of maintenance and a renovation.

Definitely not 3-star!
Positives- Central location, close to Regent's Park, Madame Tussauds and Big Bus tours. We opted for it due to proximity to Central Mosque for Eid and other places being booked. They provide a very basic breakfast with cereal, yogurt, toast and croissant. Round the clock coffee is available in the lobby. Negatives- Chose the hotel as it was marked 3-star, however definitely not one. Clearly needs a lot of maintenance. Got a basement room which was very stuffy and another room on 3rd floor which was airy and bright. Very basic furnishing and it is quite obvious that the hotel needs renovation. The lift is an old, close yourself style double doors lift which can accommodate barely 3 people without luggage and it wont move if someone leaves the doors open in other floors.
