Recent spa and hotel stay
I booked the room for 2 nights. I realised I wouldn't be checking in until about 7am on the 2nd day so I rang to tell check in. I spoke to the Manager and they said it was fine and that she had booked us in to ensure our room would not be given away. On arrival we found this was not the case. There was no room for us so we had to wait for a new room. After receiving the key card we went to the room, someone was still occupying it. So back to reception to wait for another half hour for a new room. Aimee finally sorted this out for us satisfactorily, but it wasn’t the start we needed for a relaxing break, especially as we called the night before to ensure this wouldn’t happen.

Nice hotel
Nice hotel, slightly long walk to room - lots of corridors, but we were out the way. Good large room!

Main points, automated check in, why, causes more problems than it solves, what's happend to the hospitality industry. Don't people like talking to one another? Restaurant again, why do I want to order my food on an app? Is the host not concerned with who they are serving there wants needs and experience? Would have liked some lights in my rooms I assume the bedside table lamps had been stolen and not replaced. Breakfast is basic, half the food under cooked half over limited options. I guess the chain is stuck with an identity issue and what it is trying to be, trendy, modern high technology, sporty, a spa and a venue it misses all of them and ends up confused.
