The historic, brightly colored River Hotel is on the north end of The Loop, across from the Chicago River and Chicago Riverwalk. The boutiques and restaurants that line Magnificent Mile are around the corner, and you’ll be 5 blocks from the State-Lake Metro Station.

Art and a park

A 15-minute stroll down the Magnificent Mile gets you to the impressionist and post-impressionist art housed in The Art Institute of Chicago. The museum is located within Grant Park, home of several landmarks worth exploring such as North Rose Garden or Buckingham Fountain.

Deep-dish pizza

Cooked-to-order breakfast is available for a surcharge. You can also indulge in Chicago deep-dish pizza at Bella Bacino Italian Bistro & Pizzeria or partake in a quick workout in the fitness center. The hotel’s bright colors and artwork on display provide a fun backdrop as you map out plans to make the most of your stay.

Highly Recommended
Faultless stay - location is perfect for anyone wanting to see the City centre tourist attractions, room was relatively quiet, gym is small but has everything you are likely to need, service was there when I needed it but not intrusive.

great location, outdated room
The hotel staff was great, but the room desperately needs an upgrade. The bed was far from comfortable. But Excellent location and great bar in the lobby.

Good choice
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was adequate for my needs but probably a little on the small side for two people. I am sure that there were larger rooms owing to the size of the hotel. The room was clean and reasonably quiet, friendly staff, excellent location. It had all that I needed.

Mancman 2018.
Nice hotel in city centre good location. Staff really friendly. Could do with a nice residents bar overlooking the river with the great views instead of sitting in the restaurant while people are eating. Could do with bigger tv’s in the rooms. All in all would recommend this hotel to friends. Take plenty of money, Chicago ain’t cheap.
