Great hotel but let down by restaurant
Great hotel but let down by restaurant food and especially their service. Not all menus were originally offered and we had to ask for the Parador Special Menu, even though this was displayed on the board outside the restaurant doors, you feel that they are hiding it as they would prefer you to order from the more expensive a la carte. Service was very, very slow, we were without an initial drink until we chased them, and it's not even a very large restaurant! They also kept coming back to advise that items were no longer available, this was within a hour of opening. The same situation happened on two evenings and also in the separate cafe area (where we were served with the wrong lunchtime snack). It's a shame because the hotel itself is very nice and in a great position. The small pool was very welcome but I wish that they had some newer sunloungers. Excellent view down to the inside of the Malaga bull ring from our room, we enjoyed watching the young matadors practicing one evening. Beautiful, although steep, walk through gardens to get to old Malaga town and front. Jumped on local bus to get back up the hill though. Very easy and cheap.

Lovely hotel with view over Malaga
A lovely hotel with stunning views over Malaga - the beach, port, Alcazabar, Cathedral, etc. Our room was OK - a little tired and in need of refurbishment but comfortable enough with good views from the balcony - we enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the balcony whilst enjoying the lovely view. We had a lovely lunch in the ground floor bar and dinner on the first floor terrace with wonderful views. Service was excellent throughout our stay with helpful, friendly staff.

Love Malaga
Lovely stay at the beginning of April. Walked into Malaga in the cool evenings & used the local bus when in service. Return trips were by taxi up the hill. Excellent value for tapas in the evening with great service. Didn't use the pool because we were just too busy enjoying Malaga and it's surrounds.

It was disappointing - a bit of faded glory. It was January. Maybe not peak time. The TV did not work. Could not get anything except Spanish TV. The door for customers with luggage did not work, though it still directed people to it.. We were told the restaurant CLOSED at 8 pm though in fact it OPENED at 8 pm. In truth, SHAMBOLIC. But at premium prices.
