Nice trip away

We had a nice stay, friendly staff, Hubert was really friendly and good company behind the bar! We ate the first night there , and the food was good! It was a bit quiet when we were there, but it was a grey week in October! The bar area was lovely and we would like to go back maybe in a more populated month.

The room was absolutely perfect, it was very large with gorgeous furniture and was extremely clean. The owner was delightful and very helpful and we could not fault the service at all. Lovely staff and really excellent food in a very comfy place. Extremely quiet (midweek in Feb). Only complaint is the bedrooms don’t have numbers or names on the door - so don’t take a wrong turn after a glass or two..

Quirky hotel, full of character with lots of nooks and crannies. Very reasonably priced. Staff from reception to bar and restaurant were great, as was the food; cannot recommend either highly enough. Cooked breakfast to order was great and thoroughly enjoyed dinner the night before. Needs a few minor finishing touches like blinds not working, but will be very happy to stay again when we’re back this way.
