Decent hotel by Kings Cross St Pancras
This hotel is very conveniently located right across the street from Kings Cross and St Pancras. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Our room had a worn through area in the carpet but was otherwise clean. There was a decent amount of storage for the size of the room. One featured amenity was an espresso maker, but for us it only made a tiny bit of coffee so not worth it for us. They also had a hot pot so that worked fine. It took some time for us to figure out the controls on the shower but it had a very nice rain head on it. One issue with it though was that it had no sliding door so the water did get out and soak into the bath mat. The toiletries were very nice and reminded me of being in a spa. One thing that wasn't great was that there was no outlet by any mirror for me to plug the blow dryer in so I blew my hair dry across the room from the mirror. Another item was that the room was hot and we couldn't get it to cool down. In all fairness, we didn't call anyone to fix it though. The hotel has a restaurant and bar downstairs and we were able to take drinks to the room. They also had snacks and other items in the lobby. Water was provided in the small fridge inside the room for no extra cost, and you could order other items as well. All in all, a decent hotel in an easy to find building (artfully painted bricks make it stand out) in a very convenient location.

Mostly good
We stayed here for a night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, I would happily stay again. The staff on the reception desk were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. My partner and I really liked the aesthetics and felt like the hotel had made a real effort to be different. The location is fantastic also. The room was mostly clean, although perhaps due a retouch. The only other thing I noticed was the bored where the flush for the toilet was, was lose from the wall and dirt could be seen. We didn’t include breakfast in our stay, I’m not sure if that’s a normal option however we did decide to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant. This was a very disappointing experience. Whilst the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, the service was a bit too relaxed. It took a long time to take our order, we ordered pancakes as this is what the brunch menu is famous for. We ordered one Nutella stack and one bacon and maple syrup stack. After a few moments I asked a waiter where the Nutella was as it wasn’t on my plate and he bought me a generous pot. I was a little disappointed I had to add this myself, whilst I understand people have preferences I would have liked this to be included in the stack already. My partners maple syrup never arrived so he ate the bacon and then added my leftover Nutella. The hotel was great and I would definitely stay here again, perhaps in a bigger room, I would try the restaurant again maybe this time with reluctance.

I will not be returning
I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times and this was the most disappointing visit. I stayed in room 201 on the second floor at the back of the hotel. The receptionist reassured me that it was a lovely, quiet room. There was indeed no noise from traffic but there was a low level booming sound from music being played in the restaurant that lasted for hours. The TV was advertised as 'smart' yet this function did not work. There used to be Sky satellite channels in all rooms but that has now been removed with the refurbishment. Every time I used the remote on the main TV it operated the other TV in the other part of the room which was highly unsatisfactory. There was no iron or ironing board. There were only two towels in the bathroom. I had purchased a double-deluxe room yet there was no bath just a strange accessible shower. There were many emergency pull cords in the bathroom so I'm certain this was an 'accessible' room which I had not asked for. There was a second pull-down bed that was integrated into the wall which led to a very strange configuration of the room. And despite having paid for the room in full in advance they took another 'notional' payment of the amount I had already paid. I am convinced I was given an inferior room as I wrote a critical review in April 2018 concerning the presence of vagrants, drug abuse, prostitution and other anti-social behaviour just 10 seconds walk from the hotel entrance. I will not be returning.

Beautiful room and excellent customer service!
I love this hotel! Excellent customer service! I had booked a deluxe-double which was a large, well-appointed room with a spectacular view of King's Cross. The staff go out of their way to be professional and friendly. The Reception is very striking and my room was high up on the fifth floor so I felt safe and away from the hurly-burly. I did have a few issues but none are within the control of the hotel. But they were so remarkable that I feel I must remark upon them. As you turn left out of the hotel from Belgrove Street towards Euston Road there are a collection of vagrants. This is literally five seconds walk from the hotel entrance and during my stay of two days I witnessed much disturbing activity. As I walked out of the entrance to meet my friends one of the vagrants was vomiting on to the pavement. We went to get some coffee and on our way back to the hotel to be picked up by the taxi we saw another 'gentleman' shooting up and injecting something in his arm. On my return to the hotel in the early evening another 'gentleman' was 'relieving' himself up the wall and the smell made me want to vomit. On the second day on meeting my friends the vagrants were engaging in some 'horseplay' on the corner next to the hotel and one nearly punched me in the face missing me by inches. This is such a beautiful hotel and much of King's Cross is very safe but it seems that this is one part of the area that seems to have escaped the urban renewal that has been so successful.

High Hopes but Severely Let Down
I had really high hopes for this hotel as it looked fun and is incredibly well located. I stayed for 10 days on business in apartment 3. Upon arrival (I flew overnight from the States) there was no place to change clothes or freshen up. I certainly didn't expect a room at 10am. However, most London hotels have some kind of facility (even a nice bathroom) to change and freshen up after a red eye flight. I was offered the staff room (which is a large pantry) once I asked if there was any place at all I could change clothes. On my 5th night I came home to a room which smelled heavily of sewage. I informed reception at 7:30pm but they noted there was nothing they good do since maintenance had gone home for the night. They suggested I open the windows (it was 5 C and raining) and maintenance would look the next day. I asked for an another room (even a smaller one) but none were available. I came home the next night and the smell was still there, albeit worse. Reception confirmed that maintenance had never come and offered me a can of spray air freshener. I opted to sleep in another hotel at my own expense (it was that bad). Apart from the failures in service, wifi was fast and rooms were well outfitted. Street noise was significant (even for London) but that's to be expected with the location. Karpo (the restaurant) was sub-par and expensive. I'd eat breakfast there again if it were free (as mine was), but I'd opt to go elsewhere on my own dime.
