Could think more about the experience for guests
There was a wedding on, which meant we couldn't use the bar or get dinner. I understand this happens, but it wouldn't have been difficult to pre-warn us, so that we could have eaten before we got there. Or offer pre-booked sandwiches / salad or something? Anything other than finding out when we got there! You can physically see and pick up the half inch of fluff that's collected around the edges of the carpet where they haven't bothered to hoover fully. It's not for you if you have mobility issues, there were a LOT of stairs and it wasn't easy with bags. But the staff were friendly, the room was surprisingly quiet considering both the location and the wedding, and the bed was very comfortable. You do need to be a contortionist to reach the toilet roll, it's not all well planned. So overall, some disappointments but a decent night's sleep.

Very good 8.0
I had booked two beds one for my son, the sofa bed was uncomfortable- and the bedding hadn’t been put out for us. The room was cramped - I’ve stayed here before and had stayed in a larger room so was a little disappointed - the matter of the bed clothes was sorted straight away. The room was hot and above the entrance so was noisy.

Tired Hotel
Very tired hotel. Staff pleasant but bar closed early and bar wasn't open at all in the dining room. Normally it is. Meal missed the canapes and extra wine offered in lieu was not obvious. Had to move room because of faults in the bathroom.

Small noisy and creaky
Very small double room had to go sideways to get into bed. Shower was 'wet room' type so you ended up with water all over the floor so you got wet feet when going to the toilet. There were also 2 steps down to the shower room but no hand rails, very slippery and dangerous. Left the window open over night for some air only to be woken up early by staff having their fag break. Corridor outside was very creaky and noisy. Location perfect as we were there for a family wedding at the University
